Memphis was truly a special buck who brought together everything we hoped for—polled genetics, striking blue eyes, strong milk lines, and even a moonspot for extra style. He joined us from Rite Choice Dairy in Florida, bringing valuable new milk genetics into our herd through the renowned Irm’s Girl lines.

Memphis consistently stamped his kids with fantastic width, balance, and overall strong conformation. Judges have commended him for his correct feet and legs, noting how his front toes point more directly forward and his stance is wide between the hocks. He also carries excellent width and depth through the chest, traits that have reliably passed down to his offspring.

Memphis earned his *B designation with MDGA, a testament to the strong milk production behind him—his dam, Rite Choice Tootsie, also carries impressive dairy credentials that continue to shine through in his offspring.

🌸 Offspring Highlight: Verbena

Memphis’s most notable legacy at Rafter O lives on through his exceptional daughter Verbena, out of our foundation doe Clover. Retained in 2021, Verbena embodies everything we hoped to achieve from this cross—beautiful breed character, outstanding conformation, and a mammary system that continues to impress judges year after year.

Verbena has secured multiple Reserve Grand Champion and Grand Champion titles, along with several Best Udder honors. She’s now a cornerstone of our breeding program, producing her own award-winning offspring and ensuring Memphis’s genetics remain a vital influence in our herd for generations to come.

Memphis has given us many beautiful kids over the years. In the summer of 2022, he moved on to his new farm in north Texas, but his legacy continues here at Rafter O through his outstanding daughters and their contributions to both our milk pail and the show ring.
