About Hemi
Hemi represents the next generation of genetics we have worked years to build at Rafter O. As a son of Rafter O Indian Blanket “Pancho” and Blackberry’s BE Flourite, he combines some of the most influential bloodlines in our herd into one exciting young package.
On the sire’s side, Hemi traces to FMCH Blackberry’s BQ Frozen Tundra *B and FCH Rafter O Four Leaf Clover, two animals that have had a tremendous impact on our breeding program. His dam, Blackberry’s BE Flourite, has consistently demonstrated exceptional dairy strength, style, and correctness, while descending from the proven Blackberry herd.
From an early age, Hemi has displayed the width, balance, breed character, and structural correctness we value in a herd sire prospect. His smooth blending, level topline, and eye-catching presence make him difficult to overlook, while his pedigree offers generations of proven production and show-ring success.
As the first son of Pancho to enter the show ring, Hemi provides an exciting glimpse into the future of this developing sire line. His early success against much older competition has reinforced our belief that this cross has tremendous potential. We look forward to watching him mature and evaluating the contributions he may make to future generations of Rafter O Mini Nubians.

Hemi made an impressive show-ring debut at just a few months of age. Coming directly from the Under 4 Month Buck class, he advanced into the champion lineup and earned Reserve Grand Champion Buck honors under three judges. As the first son of Pancho to be shown, his early success demonstrates the balance, correctness, and breed character we hoped to see from this exciting young sire line.
🌑 Name Origins
Midnight Hematite continues our tradition of naming goats after plants, animals, and natural elements found in the Texas Hill Country. Hematite is a dark metallic mineral known for its deep charcoal-gray color and striking sheen. The name was chosen to reflect Hemi’s handsome dark coloring, strength, and presence.
His barn name, Hemi, is a nod to both his registered name and his powerful, athletic build. Much like the high-performance engine that shares the name, Hemi combines style, power, and plenty of potential under the hood.
