Poppy earns top honors in the Senior Yearling class at the Virtual Show!  In a field of 23 entries, she placed 4th in one ring for her long, level topline, level rump, strong legs, and impressive body capacity, and 8th in the other for her length, substance of bone, and well-sprung ribs. A strong showing that highlights her quality and promise.

Poppy comes from a powerhouse pedigree filled with show wins that are too numerous to count. From both sides of her lineage, her ancestors have consistently excelled in the ring. 🌼 Name Origin

Prickly Poppy is undoubtedly an apt name for this lovely flower. They are easy to grow and attract nectar and pollen-gathering insects. You are almost sure to see a bee of some kind when you look into one of these large, frilly white blooms. Plant Prickly Poppies where you can enjoy them from a distance, as they really are prickly! The foliage is a blue-green color, and the leaves somewhat resemble fresh Swiss chard, with white ribs running down the veins.
