🐐 About Tansy
Tansy is the promising bezoar and moonspotted daughter of Sue and Pancho, two outstanding Mini Nubians who bring together some of the best genetics and traits in our herd. She also has a super sweet personality that makes her a joy to have around.
Her dam, Sue, is a beautiful polled doe known for her strong conformation and gentle, affectionate personality. In May 2025, she earned her Finished Champion title, impressing judges with her elegance, correctness, and striking darker bezoar coat with black roaning.. Her udder shows excellent attachment and promising shape, and we’re excited to watch her mature with more capacity in future freshenings. Sue’s pedigree is exceptional, with her dam Pony from CA Blackberry Herd and sire Meadowlark, a flashy, polled buck with strong milk lines and a sweet temperament.
Her sire, Pancho, is a masculine two-tone chamoisee, moon-spotted, blue-eyed buck whose pictures don’t do him justice—you really have to see him in person! He’s maturing beautifully and represents a powerful blend of two great lines in our herd. We hope to show Pancho in buck shows in Fall 2025. His dam, Clover, is a beautiful, feminine two-tone chamoisee doe with blue eyes, excellent topline, and outstanding conformation. Clover is a Finished Champion and has an amazing udder with high attachments and great capacity. Pancho’s sire, Tundra, is a spectacular buck from out West with a powerhouse pedigree of champions and milk stars. He holds a milk star (*B) and has three Reserve Grand Champion wins in MDGA Virtual Shows.
With parents like Sue and Pancho, and her own lovely bezoar and moonspotted coloring, plus a sweet personality, we are thrilled for Tansy’s future—her strong genetics and promising traits set her up to be a standout in both the show ring and the herd.

🌿 Name Origin
Western Tansymustard (Descurainia pinnata) is a hardy native plant found throughout the western and central United States. It thrives in prairies, open woodlands, and along roadsides, easily adapting to a wide range of soils and conditions, making it a perfect symbol of quiet resilience and natural grace.
This delicate-looking plant is recognized for its finely divided, feathery leaves and clusters of tiny, yellow flowers that bloom from spring to early summer. Though its blooms are modest in size, they add cheerful splashes of color to the landscape and provide nectar and habitat for a variety of beneficial insects.
Much like the plant she’s named for, our Tansy embodies both understated beauty and sturdy character. Her ability to stand out with elegance while maintaining a sweet, gentle nature makes “Western Tansymustard” the perfect inspiration for her name, celebrating strength, adaptability, and the subtle charm of life that flourishes even in the toughest places.
